New to BP and New to Nashville

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to the Nashville area having moved here from MS about six months ago.

So a little about myself. I'm married with three children with two of those in college.  Time flies!  I owned my own manufacturing business for 16 years until finally calling it quits about 6 years ago due to dwindling sales brought on by the recession, which turned out to be a blessing in that it led me to a career I thoroughly enjoy and was meant to do.

I started thinking about real estate while selling a piece of commercial land I owned.  Throughout the process I found myself critiquing the agent (just in private thoughts) on how I would have handled each hurdle we encountered.  So I got my real estate license and the journey began.  Started out as a residential agent but quickly realized that while doing very well at it I didn't enjoy it.  My broker at the time owned numerous commercial properties and agreed to show me the ropes and I quickly realized it was the career I had been searching for.  I mean I actually enjoy reading through multiple leases and deciphering advantages and disadvantages it may have for my client!

About six months ago I decided to move to the Nashville area.  I'm here to be in a vibrant city and economy where I can hopefully forward my career and knowledge in my chosen field of work.  I specialize in multi and single tenant retail properties but have experience in most all categories of commercial investment sales.

Recently I have completed all the CCIM courses and expect to be pinned this fall.  I done this not only to get more insight into commercial real estate but to try and add value to a deal while representing my clients.

I look forward to networking and engaging in discussions with like minded individuals.

Brant,

Would be happy to connect. I’m a Nashville native, been in CRE for 5 years, and am the best selling author of “Open for Business: The Insider’s Guide to Leasing Commercial Real Estate.”

Send me a message and we’ll get something on the books.
