In our area, tenants expect very much completely renovated interior these days. 

It should state that they are to alllow an initial interior inspection of the property and that upon their exit and receipt of cash for the keys, thevproperty should be in the same condition and free of any personal belongings.

It's never been updated but totally rentable now with a good cleaning and interior paint job.

Getting quotes from GCs to complete interior renovations - mostly paint/carpet/minor kitchen and bathroom stuff.

I offered $835,000 on a property and it was rejected.  6 months later, after they replaced the carpet, did some other renovations and painted the interior ($20,000 in total renovations) they accepted my offer of $795,000.
