It is otherwise inefficient to operate.

I'm particularly focused on local STVR (Short term vacation rental) properties that are officially licensed by the county of Hawaii to operate short term rentals.

The borrower was operating a sizable operation, inclusive of approximately 100 multi-family units.

Prior to 2022, it was difficult to find an operator who didn't make a lot of money on their real estate syndications. 

I have noticed a trend over the pasts 10 years where more and more of the people have zero involvement in the day-to-day operations of the property and are only raising money.
