New Englands economy is extremely diversified, which means it has and will likely continue to fair better in a recession as opposed to other regions that focus exclusively on gambling or tourism or manufacturing.

Is the tourism booming?

The economy is propped up by many industries, not just tourism. 

The properties are cheap and the tourism is extremely high thus why I am doing some research of the area.

Hunter, Windham and Gore Mountain (North Creek vicinity), are ski areas with year round tourism.

. - The Mississippi Gulf Coast is also one of the only areas of the state that has tourism as a significant piece of it's economy.- The Mississippi Gulf Coast has an international airport- The Mississippi Gulf Coast has a beach- Houses are some of the cheapest in the country. 

Between the universities, wine country, tourism and a ski resort, we have pretty reliable tourism year-round.

For the skeptics who say the region is disjointed and too competitive, this not-for-profit is an attempt to improve the situation.The association has started working with the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau who is recipient of significant sums to hotel tax money to boost tourism and the bureau has pledged to support STR as witnessed by their marketing dashboard on the PoconosMembers of the association value a thriving vacation home rental industry in the Poconos that strengthens the regional economy and maintains the character of vacation home communities and nearby neighborhoods. 

If I would say anything that would be helpful on the state level, it would be: it's a landlord friendly state, so long term rentals are good from that standpoint; from 2020 to 2021 it was #8 in terms of population growth, so people are moving here a lot; tourism is notable here, STRs do well in certain areas; property taxes are generally lower than many states; if you're investing in East Tennessee act like you're a UT fan, especially with their football team doing so well this season!
