This holds up the second floor living room,- I'm not sure if the first floor back bedroom is legal and seems to have no foundation but is built wood on soil!

I'm watching the playoff games today, and it seems every few minutes there's a VRBO commercial....They aren't mentioning AirBnB by name but they show a couple staying in a trailer where nothing works and then a couple staying in a really nice house with an outdoor rain shower, BBQ, pool , etc.....And the wording underneath says - 'Private Residence'.

Schooling in my town is amazing, so there is no issue with that.Transportation to NYC is literally 2 minutes on every corner to the bus, so that isn't an issue.Additionally, I was told that I should stay away from homes with oil tanks for heating because if the oil tank was to leak, the soil would be contaminated and it would cause a big headache and a big whole in my wallet.

Some possibilities MAY be redirecting water away from the structures, or jacking the structures up and building a base underneath, but most likely the property is in a flood zone and these would not be effective solutions.

If you click on the three little green dots top right of your post, one of the options is "Edit" which stays there for 15 minutes after you post, at which time it changes to "Update", which then only allows you to post an edited note underneath your original post.If there is no similar arrangement for thread titles, (eg.

each lot is unique and each city is unique... until you have a house plan.. and an engineered foundation that is approved by the city and that is put out to bid.. there is no way to know exactly what your build costs would be other than to spit ball .... and really depends on the soil stability to start with
