There is a two story structure in the front of the property facing the street with units 1 & 2 on top of each other, and the other part of the house (an addition) is perpendicular to that with 2 stories.

in the rooms one will have a king bed and large 6 drawer dresserthe other room is guest/kids and will have a loft bed, a queen bed perpendicular under the loft, and then a lounge seat that is a pull out twin.

I was going to tile my floor but the whole floor was essentially 3/4 particle board with a thin plywood sub floor and they were ran with the joists instead of perpendicular.

Anyway the signage perpendicular to the direction of traffic is most effective so the truck would be better than your banner.That is really the only way around a good signage ordinance.

If floor/ceiling joists run perpendicular to the wall, it will generally be load bearing.

I also see that a majority of these houses fit in two categories:  a)the stairs to the second floor are against one of the long walls near the front dooror b) the stairs stick out from the wall perpendicular separating the living room space from the rest of the house (kitchen, dining room).
