Investing in Airbnb overseas

If I mainly want to vacation in Costa Rica and stay in a nice place, I rather make more money by investing elsewhere and rent a different villa every year, which is much more exciting from a lifestyle point of view, as I'll have variety.

14 October 2024 | 1 reply
Since I personally always get the most out of conferences when I have dedicated time after to decompress, digest, and implement what I've learned, I booked a private beachfront villa with some friends for a few days immediately following BPCON (checking in the afternoon of Wednesday the 9th, checking out the morning of the 12th) just a few miles up the beach from the Moon Palace Resort, and we have a couple of beds still available so I wanted to extend the invite to folks here.A couple photos of the villa are below, and some of my favorite features of this place include:- Direct beach access off the back porch- Private heated infinity pool- Private furnished terrace- Private resort access- Wifi- Indoor jacuzzis- Private kitchen- Air conditioningShoot me a DM if you're interested!

Starting in Highlands neighborhood (or northside) which used to be a very rough part of town, is now the one of the top 3 most desirable are in the metro and this has slowly trickled down into neighborhoods south.I am an engineer so I love to base my decisions on data, so for example looking at census data, I like to look at % of high income earners in an area to gauge if I should invest or notFor 80204 which includes the neighborhood of Villa Park, in 2010 the % considered upper middle/high income was 4.2% of households. 2022 census says that now it is 40.5%On the other end is 80219 which includes the neighborhood Westwood which would have the lowest income area on my list, in 2010 Westwood had 4% as well, by 2022 it had 21.1% high /upper middle income earners.I have properties in both and tenant applicants are a wide variety (lower income folks on rental assistance to high income earnings wanting to rent in an area before buying a home) so its hard to put a property class in this area.

@Daniel Villa some states offer what is called license “reciprocity”, which means if you’re licensed in one state, it’ can be easier to become licensed in another.

For larger luxury Scottsdale properties you may want to look into what Parson's Villas can do with your property.Originally posted by @Melanie Johnston:@Ryan Paltridge I have helped 3 BiggerPockets investors buy 4 STRs in Scottsdale in the last 12 months. My recommendation would be to concentrate on zip codes in popular locations that also have more non-HOA options. These would be 85251, 85250, 85257 for options near Old Town.

Question for PM's, Self Managers

My strength admittedly is on the administrative tasks. For those who are opposite of me, who struggle with the administrative side, would you consider a B2B relationship with a service that takes all of the tasks off of your hands, and if so what would you be willing to pay (% or flat fee).To be clear, what would be offered would be:- Listing on 15+ channels including Marriott Homes and Villas, Abnb, VRBO/, Booking.com, Zillow, coming soon Amex Travel and Hyatt, Jetblue and Allegiant Airlines, and more.- Pricing software w/ live revenue manager- Smart Lock software- 24/7 Guest Communication via platform, voice, text, email.- 24/7 Communication with owner or PM staff for maintenance or cleaning issues.
