Ideally I'd love to get some condos or other small properties for STRs, marketing to coastal tourists.

But tourists certainly would not as the towns are 25 miles apart which, in a snowstorm could mean well over a 2 hour drive.Steamboat is also about 10 square miles, so if there were a "bad" part of Steamboat (and there isn't), the whole town would be close to it.Steamboat has a quaint downtown area, a very definitive ski-resort area and then the rest is all highly agricultural with cattle and horse ranches as well as farms that grow livestock feed crops like alfalfa.  

This is maybe because of some of the hesitance of tourist unsure if they want to travel there yet, but it appears people are making bookings but more or so closer to the travel dates.

The population will just get more Younger and Single people living there enjoying those kinds of amenities.Ultimately, there will be larger venue type events coming back, especially in tourist areas.

They will likely suffer the consequences.Smart people bought good properties in tourist areas, knew the numbers and have cash reserves.

I currently live in a really popular tourist area in Southern California (La Jolla) and know of many people that are having tons of success renting extra rooms, units, or their whole property through AirBnB.My wife and I are relocating back home to Kansas City and I've wondered about the viability of operating an AirBnB business there.

My father owned tourism based businesses, and liquidated a few years ago, his contacts got him onto a group who buy property management rights, they offered him a buy in to the next property, a resort on the Gold Coast (one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia), this investment (which was thoroughly looked over by his accountant and lawyer) over the past 3 years has been netting him on average 18% per year, passively.

Vietnam is an up and coming tourist hotspot for it's cheap accomodations and food.  

We have:1) The best weather year around2) We have some of the most beautiful beaches minutes away3) We speak the language (English)4) Puerto Rico is not a foreign country. 5) US Dollars = US Possession 6) We live were people vacation (Tourist loves PR)7) Buyers Market with thousands of properties under Market value8)............There's so much to say, but here's a lil of data for those that don't know. 

But the heat of Tucson keeps some tourist away in summer.
