I remember having wooden floors in all the rooms of our Victorian house growing up.

I just bought a small 2 bed house that has a large wooden shed in the yard for storage.  

Oh well, for $5, I tried.May also find some reasonable tasting wines at Trader Joe's at or below your price point.

I figure I won't get the same levels of cashflow that I might out of state, but I like knowing my area and being able to check up on my places on a regular basis, and I figure that being in the wine country not too far from San Francisco there's a good chance appreciation will work in my favor. 

@Jim K.Haha wouldn’t say drunk but after work with a glass wine or two reading up the forum and search for topics of interest that’s usually what I do.

(put up a fence for dog, upgraded the "floating style wooden steps" to have a backing on them so your foot didn't fall thru, getting a lawnmower we agreed would stay at the house if I moved out, etc)

Perhaps it doesn't need to be a steel framed door but just a more solid and private wooden door.

*Leave $35-45 bottle jacks in place on top of new footers for adjustment in the event of settling (if someone insists on putting PT wooden posts in the dirt ---- DON'T!).

I remember when I moved into apartments when I was younger, sometimes I'd find a bottle of wine or chocolates or a cheese basket, and it always made the place feel a little warmer.

Nothing crazy...a card accompanied by a bottle of wine, treats/toys for their pets, chocolates, the like.
