I am just east of Houston so some type of climate control is a must.

I also live in a very dry climate here in Denver.  

The long winters were too much and they decided the foothills of the sierras is what he wants in terms of climate and topography.  

So my question is two part - what tactics are still worthwhile in the current climate?

They expand and contract too much but if the climate is consistant its quite good.

Mild winters, no state income tax, and a great business climate all work towards an influx of people.

For what contractors charge we are miles ahead doing it in house.Typically ownership transfers at the stopbox in freezing climates and at the meter in warm areas.
