Your local planning and zoning office can give you guidance on what your options are.West coast wetlands are a big deal.. as there are many of them and the protections are in place to protect the Salmon Steelhead etc.as everything flows from some point to a river that these fish run in.Along with certain Flora..In Washington and Oregon you would hire a consultant familiar with the county regs and do what is called a Wet land delineation.
