Everything "sometimes" is plausible.The only thing you can do (in my humble opinion) is look at the numbers and decide based on that.If the numbers don't work it is a definite no.If they work... well ...Disagree.In these ghetto property situations novice investors should spend a lot less time "running numbers" & a lot more time understanding what they are dealing with.

They don't have time to deal with novices that don't know the ins and outs of TRID, RESPA, etc...4) I would get recommendations on brokers from those you trust.

Also, slumlord is kind of strong wording, possibly "novice vs professional" would be a more appropriate comparison, especially, if the tenant gets the money back in a timely fashion, something I don't think would be as likely with a slumlord.Just my 2c.have a great day!
