Birmingham is a very diverse market- lots of different types of properties that cover all the different classes.For investors that have a higher risk profile and are looking for primarily cash flow investments, I’d recommend some areas in Jefferson county.

Birmingham and Montgomery in AL are great options—plenty of solid homes in solid neighborhoods with good cash flow on the market.

I personally bought properties in Atlanta, Birmingham, Indianapolis, and Pennsylvania between 2012 and 2015.I don't know the details of your net worth, AGI, or annual savings, but it's possible that diving straight into syndications and private placements might be a better fit for you.
