Attending more meetings, workshops, etc you'll get more acclimated.

There are many companies out there.I use Quest IRA. they are very knowledgable and helpful - they have free workshops and classes in Houston@Carl Fischer company CamaPlan is a good sourceIf you already have a company you like, I would see if there is a local REIA Group or IRA Group that meets in your area and go to some of the networking events. 

It has a detached garage and workshop that has some peeling paint.

Zach Crawford I recommend taking virtual workshop through Scott Carson .Buying a note with absolutely no understanding is the equivalent of trying to put a car together without any instructions.

Start going to local RE investor meetings and workshops.

They want you to attend the Boots To Business workshop, which is like 6 weeks long and is like a mini-MBA program.

Also, after months of absorbing information through books, podcasts, a few lunches/coffees, an expo and a workshop, I finally went out to my first REIA meetup last month!

I go up one day a month and do six weekend workshops a year.
