Looking for a mentor

I'm just starting out to get into wholesaling. I haven't made any deals yet,  I only been researching and basically studying the field. I really would like to have a mentor for my first couple of deals. Is that a good idea or should I jump straight into? And if I do get a mentor where should I look?
