Closed at End of Sep2024 and listed on Zillow and other sites via Turbo Tenant.Compared the comps via Rentometer ,also offered 1000$ off for first month rent .I hear winter is a tough time , should I take down the rental listings from Zillow and other sites and relist when it's Spring?

Make sure you have that addressed just from a liability standpoint. 4) You could also look into a mid-term rental option with traveling nurses if you think the unit is truly rentable. 5) AirBnB restrictions have gotten much stricter as well in general in Chicago, so make sure you are on the right side of those if you put your unit up since you are required to register with the City.

Managing five rentals can eat up a ton of time in any given week, often at times that are inconvenient to you and your personal interests (family, hobbies, travel, etc.).Of course you can manage on your own.

Focus on absentee owners and start with the ones who live the farthest away and only own one property in the area since they have the least use for the property.You can also drive for dollars, looking for anomalies of disrepair and then look them up in the tax records and use a site like Spokeo to do cheap skip tracing.
