I work in capital equipment sales for a laser systems manufacturer...yes I sell lasers, and no these lasers aren't nearly as cool as these sound :)I graduated Oregon State in Business and Entrepreneurship (Go Beavs!).

Then comes the floors, plumbing, electrical, paint, appliances, the beam could be structural on the porch, demolition of basement ceiling, repairing any rot in the attic, etc., etc., and I'd say you're in the $15-$20k range on repairs.

I use the one from Weather Channel.If you eat out, get Open Table.Get the Trip Advisor, which has some great "what's near me now" features to find restaurants and other attractions.Many banks have an online banking app.Red Laser bar code reader can scan a bar code and give you prices for it and where you can buy it.

Get a termite inspection during your purchase process so you know what issues are there and can handle them during your rehab.Since you are, where you are and the problem is only in one spot (as indictaed by your post) use plastic to seal off the kitchen, chip up the tiles, replace the bad wood beams in teh subfloor, and replace the tiles.

I actually don't know because I didn't tear into the sheetrock to look.I think it would be harder to find them with pier and beam as you can't see all the piers.

The major issued are: It needs leveling (block and beam) It looks like it pretty easy to level, and the beams underneath look pretty good, no termite damage.

But inside....totally redone, stud walls and sheetrock, super insulated, efficient windows and doors. granite tops, custom cherry cabinets, large Jacuzzi, walk in shower, pitched roof and beams...projection TV and stone fireplace, very cool space for him.
