Conversion to gas burner will be relatively straightforward, and I've read that there are submeters for steam.

Or just always "seeeing' visionary" seeing things that could be.. or is  needed.I have a couple of things on the burner right now. 

We are about to close on out second SFR and it has a relatively new well working oil burner for heat.

Even though I have a crew, I tend to put my retail buyer properties on the back burner for a month or so and focus on the properties that I will wholesale or keep as a rental 

Sometimes...lol.Unless this house is a real steal...I'd probably recommend puttng it on the back burner then moving on.

Where this is an REO, I have no access to the previous utilities data, but given the boiler was an older oil burner (76% efficient), the envelope has little to no insulation and the windows (single pain with storms, which have not been maintained) and doors are all original, I expect the ~2375 ft^2 building was averaging 300 - 400/month in heating costs.  

I think I am going to put him on the back burner and keep searching for funding. 

To answer to problems with natural gas burners:1.

The burners are nt terribly bad either if the old ones are rusty.
