With the many job layoffs from auto makers and other production facilities the local economy in many of the Midwest towns is struggling.

After one of the many layoff sessions, I have ended up working with one of my former clients.

Now they are doing layoffs at my job and I too have considered selling shoes at macys because of the job market and I have a degree.Lol.

These changes include transfer to another state, loss of income from changing jobs, which makes the home unaffordable, and sale of home due to layoffs or in some cases retirement.

So you think layoffs would be the only major reason for a price correction? 

It's not just losing the work force, but stores will have less income and may have to lay off American workers and so on.

There is an app on iPhone called Robinhood where you can buy and sell stocks with no fees and no membership costs.

That quickly changed when I had to lay off 8 production operators for no other reason then the company was not profitable. 

I got rehired after a six month layoff (best time of my life, esp since I was collecting severance and have a baby boy at home) and now that I have a solid W-2 paycheck coming in, I am back to talking to lenders again.

But if the high-priced housing market in the Bay Area can only be sustained by high-paid tech employees, a market correction in tech would be devastating when large companies go under and massive lay-offs ensue.
