Does anyone have some good recommendations for residential inspectors they've used and had a good experience with in the Portland, Oregon area? 

My best friend is a building inspector.

(property manager, hard money lender, contractor, project manager, inspector, real estate agent etc.)

The building inspector and I have developed a relationship of respect for each other. 

I would never use an inspector recommended by the seller's realtor.

Hi Christian,Another suggestion for learning how to inspect properties would be to hire an inspector to walk the property with you.I actually just heard an interesting tip from Tarl on this BiggerPockets video at 16:21:Investment Property Inspections & Pre-Purchase Decisions w/ J Scott & Tarl YarberTarl said when he was first starting out, he would hire a home inspector to inspect the property with him and follow them around the house and ask them questions.  

I received an appointment from the city inspector for a month out.

Anyone in Corpus Christi, TX have any home inspectors they highly recommend?

My recommendation is to get a standard home inspection done by a qualified and bonded inspector.
