It seems a little weird, if it is electric you probably want to make sure the outlet it is on is GFIC protected, is there really no other way the kitchen can be laid out, I think your biggest problem is going to be buyers/ tenants just thinking it is a really weird layout.

I am in the process of remodeling a Year-1900 ROCHESTER NY house with:New plumbing, adding a bathroom, adding a shower to an existing bathroom etc (Plumber has a permit)New electrical service & circuits, new lights & outlets to existing rooms, upgrade to 200 AMP (Electrician has permit)Kitchen is being updated by general contractor, some new reframing for bathrooms but no major moving of walls.

Plumbing was already conveniently in the walls, (it backed up to the main bathroom), so all I did was upgrade the counter top electrical with GFI's & a separate outlet to the dishwasher.

Redevice the upstairs to 3 prong (estimated 5 outlets) and install duel function breakers on all ungrounded outlet circuits to ungrounded outlets to bring them up to code and safety standards.

@Demetrius Charles I believe they only sell GE, but I’ve had great luck with Appliance Outlet in Eden Prairie.

@Marty SummersI don't see any problem with it if they are paying the bill and as long as the air conditioner is connected to the electric outlet with the correct amperage able to handle the load.
