Have you done a background check to see their history of rent payments or credit history?

He was discussing this with someone who had done deals like this before and she said the seller is technically required to charge interest.

I apologize in advance for the length of the post below...A little background on me; I have a little (mostly negative) experience as a landlord after we, my wife and I, moved out of our first home in late 2010 and looked to renting because, shocker, we were underwater.

I agree, I think credit, criminal background, and eviction (via TurboTenant) plus verify employment (myself) are what I do.

I could really use a bit of advise here, I'll keep it short and skip the background story.I bought a condo ~4 years ago and hired a property management company to take care of it.

I do have background in the RE and constantly continue my education in the field daily.
