VA law requires you mail this regular US mail, unless your lease specifies otherwise,  If your lease allows electronic notifications, and most do, you can send the notice by e-mail.Feel free to PM or call me if you need help.  

We invoice tenants and they pay electronically and ACH deposits the funds automatically.

The clock starts when we deliver the lease to them (electronically these days).

I'm a 40-ish guy with a business and electronic engineering degree.

We then did electronic transfers from our business account to theirs for the payments which gives us a detailed history of the payments made.

Any suggestions to establish electronic or auto rent payments etc? 

I plan to put electronic locks on both doors to allow scheduled repair/maintenance entry. 

@Deborah Repaskey If your tenants use the internet, and you don't have enough units to justify using a cloud based system to manage your rentals, you could upload the application into docusign and have them fill it out and electronically sign it.

My other option would be for him to mail me the checks.But in this day and age, I'm curious as to if there would be other methods for my property manager to get me my rent electronically in a safe manner. 

My strong preference these days is to send documents electronically via DocuSign.
