Hello BP Community,

Wow, what a great place!  I stumbled across this site - actually, some of the youtube podcasts/videos last week and have absolutely become obsessed with this knowledge base.  The professionalism and content of what I have seen so far has blown me away.  It has been such a motivation to continue pursuing down an avenue I was already excited to take.  All of this has been such an eye opener and I can't wait to get through all 227 podcasts! (already on #14)

A little about me, I live in a suburb of St. Louis called Lake St. Louis.  I'm a 40-ish guy with a business and electronic engineering degree. I have a day job as a sales engineer and really enjoy it.  But I want more freedom and a more secure retirement plan.  Ideally I'd like to work really hard for another 10 years and be able to step away - we will see!

I've bought and sold many properties over the years, most were my primary residency.  Two of which I kept and turned into a rental.  The first one I no longer own as we cashed out in 2006 at the height of the market and it was perfect.  But since that model worked really well the first time I decided to keep another one when I was moving.  This is a condo that I still own and has been rented for about 3 years and is doing well.  I decided recently that I would like to start repeating this model and building a portfolio of buy and hold/rental properties in and around the St. Charles county area.  I've lived here for the last 25 years and know it fairly well.  I really just look forward to learning about the industry and all the tactics available to make this a reality.  I also just picked up Rich Dad Poor Dad after hearing 14 out of the first 14 podcasts recommending it!

Looking forward to this new journey!

Tony
