With the latest news coming from Wisconsin today and the possibility of 3 to13k jobs being created in the coming years (so they say) who has thoughts on looking into southeast, WI?

Canton- $400k to $500k; Mile to the east $1mm to $4mm; 4 miles to the Southeast Lake; National Forest to the East; Canton name brands- Home Depot, Bed Bath Beyond, Harbor Freight, Zaxby's Chicken, Walmart. 

(a hard money loan would only add to the stress on a Newbie).Therefore....I/ most investors would have to shop in Housing markets with homes under 200k...In my case...living in the northeast....I am restricted to the southeast (NC, FLA, Tenn, Georgia)/ maybe...Midwest.)I would have to long Distance Invest....Then I would have to get a team/"Core 4" in the market.

If concerned with potential hurricane damage, South East Florida should be considered - we have the most stringent building code in the world (for example, Miami-Dade county impact windows are the gold standard).

From what I've seen, most people have success around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and other areas south-east of Knoxville.

Just wanted to share with those that are interested about my one of my last investments I participated in Southeast Houston as an investor and the General Contractor.  

Reviving this thread- we have a bond on our primary residence (Florida panhandle) and would probably include the cost of a bond while running numbers for rental properties in the termite hot zones in the southeast.

I’m from the PA area originally, moved  about 10 years ago, and am now an active agent in mainly southwest and southeast Florida!

Just started my search and want to focus in the Southeast region where the dollar stretches further than Southern California where I'm based.
