. : )Hi Sonya,Ohio is a great market along with many others in the Midwest.I always stress to new investors to focus more on establishing trust and relationships with key people on the ground rather than looking at the stats and demographics of a particular area straight off the bat.Every time I lost money in real estate wasn't due to the numbers not working in the deal.

That should be pretty easy if you have access to MRIS.Most of the information you're looking for can be found by talking to a realtor that specializes in the area, they should be able to tell you a lot of that information off the top off their head, and be able to quickly pull up market stats.

I should preface this by saying I'm a statistics junkie.That said, I found the following website yesterday while trying to do research for properties in an area I'm not geographically knowledgeable in.http://www.bestplaces.net/housing/city/colorado/pu...While I still want to dive in deeper, this was a great website for figuring out median incomes, median rents, vacancy rates, crime stats, school quality and pretty much any other information I might want to know about a city.As always, your mileage may vary.
