It's a terrible choice for the NE climate and almost guaranteed to have rot under there.

Its been eating me up that I have these rentals with perfect roofs for solar and not doing anything with them considering climate change. 

@Blaise Doremus, NH definitely has higher taxes, but it also has a much more landlord friendly climate.
