I'm just beginning my journey in REI after reading the Ultimate Guide and was wondering what's the best way to get startedMy family and I live in the Bay Area.

If you read the guides it specifically says that FHA loans are not to be used to accumulate investment properties. 

I work full-time but am available and willing to do as much of the labor as I can after work and on Saturdays to cut back on labor costs.Looking to you and the Bigger Pockets community to help guide me along the way.Please let me know what you think and what excatly can be done and what my next steps should be.

The fact they are complaining online might be an indication the property manager dealt with them properly so be sure to ask the manager for their side of the story.I hope this basic guide helps.
