"Medical tourism" would be a good short-term tenant for you as well.  

Plus, New Orleans tourism is at an all-time high. 

I am a new agent focussing on commercial/investment real estate in an area dominated by tourism and the hospitality industry.

We are largely dependent on lower wage employment like hospitality/restaurant and tourism so many of those people that do own will be in trouble and likely go into foreclosure or do loan mods which will also get them in trouble down the line.

So we followed a tried and true method of REI (buy a multi with an FHA) and our success was elevated by the high tourism traffic and high real estate appreciation rates in our area.

I do need something/someone in place for inbound calls as I don't want to miss leads but can not rely on being able to personally answer the phone.

They are not touting the returns, dad had to do extensive due diligence (both legal and financial) I guess it's the same as owning holiday rentals, as long as they keep the property up and the Australian tourism market keeps on keeping on, things should go OK.I'm pretty sure it's open for new money, that's what I was discussing with him last night.

I speak with the tourism commission for the county and they say they just don't have enough rooms for people who want to stay there.
