Overall I don't think it is a great idea to compromise on what you are trying to accomplish just to get in the game.If you buy something and then the market does tank for whatever reason you are stuck with it so you can bend a little but don't go crazy(For all of those who say they don't see the market weakening anytime soon I challenge you to find anyone saying things were getting ready to tank 10 years ago.

On the other end of that connecter there should be Flame Sensor, looks like a small dia. rod, may have a 45* bend in it, unscrew it and clean the yellow brown coating off of it with any abrasive.
