@Kalman G Szabo  The county may send a generic notice to the state, However, and this comes from personal experience, the state will deny that the notice was proper because it went to x within the state and should have gone to y within the state.

I'm no expert, but I've been toying with the idea of vacation rentals as well.  

If you choose not to, yes it has to still be calculated as part of your housing expense ratio either way just like home owners association dues or common fee's.

I live down south so I can't take a lot of time other than asking friends and family, and using google.I toyed with the idea of buying a townhome recently built or pre construction. 

I toyed with it a bit a few days ago, but didn't spend a whole lot of time on it.
