Showing ID is not only a safety measure for yourself and the other person, it also helps to reduce fraud if someone is unwilling to provide identification and is being this difficult with a simple ask, then I would also question whether or not they would be a good fit as a tenant

You should state what you want to accomplish and why, so people with those skills might take an interest.  

Wish I had the skills to build a spread sheet but computers aren’t my strength.

If they have trouble with making rental payments, they need to start improving their skills and look for a higher paying job or double down and get two jobs.

Some of us have a lot of experience and could make that $20k stretch into something, but we have skills you don't.
