I got the pro version so they came with rechargeable batteries and from my experience so far they have lasted upwards to 6+months on a charge.

Don't put it in the mail box, then you get into federal regulations that are better left alone.I'm toying with the idea of a rechargeable Visa card with an initial $25 balance and a note that says something like "when your ready for more, give us a call,".

Of course, we will bill more out of the deposit if damages and charges exceed that 20%, but making that portion non refundable eliminates a lot of debate and arguing upon move out that we re charging them for a cleaning, etc.
