During this year, I've experienced inheriting a crooked property manager I let go on day 1 that tried collecting rents from tenants weeks after, an eviction (same person) and a successful lawsuit against a non performing seller that backed out the day of closing.

Not only do you need to trust the fund of funds manager is not going to steal your money, but also the group that they then invest in is also not going to steal your money.But at the end of the day, my issue with most fund of funds is, they simply don't offer any value and likely are dilutive to the underlying investment.
