Depending on the situation, an experienced builder can do a couple web searches, and visit the site and give you a good idea of what can be done in an hour or two.

It's kinda discouraging seeing how easy it seems in the US, and how close it seems to breaking the law in Canada... but according to some youtube videos and web pages, people here are doing it.  

A Listing agent will do more than just post your house on the web.

One came up a for foreclosure, 3 have no data available with some quick web searches and like an idiot, I didn't make notes on which ones were vacant and which ones were in poor condition, so I'll figure what others were vacant later with google maps.
