I hear a lot about newbies wanting to be mentored and I myself stumbled across an investor who is interested in mentoring me, but my question is why?  

It seems I stumbled across a REAL gold mine when I found the Bigger Pockets site.I'm 44 and my wife and I own 3 Properties and are partners on 2 others with her brother.We are looking to create a broader base of rentals so we can make real estate investing our primary income and retirement fund.We own our primary residence free and clear.

I stumbled upon an article that had referenced this site so I figured I'd give it a try.I look forward to learning about real estate and have planned to take my first real estate class mid April.

I stumbled on to this site not too long ago from a YouTube video of a podcast episode which was really good; I have also come across a lot of great reads on the site.

I stumbled across BiggerPockets by searching iTunes for real estate related podcasts.

@Jay Hinrichs Just happened to stumble on their meeting page today, already signed up to be there.

My wife and I are just getting started with our real estate investing future and stumbled upon this gem of a site.

I stumbled through it enough to realize more information would have been nice to have, especially for due diligence and making offers. 

A 71 yr old is probably not likely to throw too many loud parties or to stumble home drunk at 4AM.
