My first post :) I'm new to REI and followed the shiny into buying ($390) and attending a goofy 3-day workshop (currently sitting in Day 2 in Danvers, MA) on tax lien buying by TAX LIEN WEALTH BUILDERS, previously known as UNITED TAX LIENS, founded by Jay Drexel, who also built MarketPlacePro.It's been almost useless, a giant patronizing waste of time (as @John Underwood and @Ned Carey has driven home - don't pay for education you could obtain more quickly and thoroughly on the googs or through networking), but an interesting exercise in appreciating their polished presentations, sales strategies, and trying to understand what these people's actual business model is by reading between the lines of all the shiny idealized and exaggerated examples of rapid wealth generation.

Hi Chris, I attended a rental property workshop through my local REI group and the speaker recommended interviewing several real estate heavy commercial banks to refinance your initial loan on a rental property.

Just from a little two hour seminar after that i took a three day workshop and have been researching ever since .I too have a 40-50 hour a week job and it doesnt matter.

Whether it is the 1200' workshop that already has plumbing and electrical (convert to ADU for much less cost than usual), a motivated seller that has an issue that you can solve for them, a purchase that for some reason has elevated risk (weigh the risk reward scenario) such as unpermitted unit, a killer BRRRR RE, a RE with under utilized zoning, etc. 

Anyone planning on attending the Rich Dad Education Workshop in Riverside California on 6/27/19?

I registered for a workshop scheduled in August and will see how it goes from there.
