What's up with RE Gurus and Coaching?

Hi BP community, Anytime I've googled REI topics or looked for YouTube posts the answers are almost always provided by those who are selling mentorship or coaching REI. I'm really curious as to the motivation behind providing coaching and mentorship from experienced investors? If someone is a very successful investor why would he change up his bread and butter towards coaching ? And this is not just provided but marketed for which means lots of time and effort. For example you're very good at what you do and that's how you have made money, why want to charge others money to teach them that rather than continue what's making you money in REI? Does it have to do with the market? Are deals scarce but amount of newbies abundant? If you're a coach yourself tell us about your reasons. And if you're not, tell us about why you think investors like to provide those services?

When you become successful at something you end up having time available to diversify. Being a guru is a licence to print money in this industry. Newbies are coming out of the woodwork looking for what they see is a easy get rich quick scheme. Gurus simply tap into that gullibility.

There's a sucker born every minute. Someone needs to nurture them.
