I see so many of the older larger private timber owners in the North west.. they log enough for the year replant.. next year thin some more  replant some more  and just move in rotations.. it will go on as long as there is a demand for wood products...

But LOTS of ways this could spiral downward and strain relationships that matter.

Excepting front office and traders (vast minority) the vast majority were told they will likely be returning to a 3 in, 2 out, or 2 in 3 out rotation when they do go back.

we deal with new strains of the flu, h1n1, every few years without batting an eye.

My dad is an electrician/handyman and he would have a constant rotation literally a new guy working for him every month.
