I must note at this point that I was ultimately forced to put down a 25% deposit, due to being married to a non-SA citizen - the lender insisted on this due to some rather restrictive immigration laws in SA. 

@Matt Von Bargen We are working on a Co-Living project in the UK, and what we have found out is really understanding the dynamism in rates during the year for a particular market.

Well...he has a valid TIN number and he has been paying an immigration attorney for several years.

I have also had investors from the UK.

Most of those people immigrated to Vancouver and surrounding areas though, which, quite frankly, added a lot of color to the place.
