It was in fairly good condition, and I KNEW I could easily lease it out, or lease sections to various business, or sell it for double or triple what I paid. 3 years later, having not even received an offer to lease AT ANY PRICE, I sold it for $25,000 LESS than I had paid.

i am a reo broker here in south florida and work with many current asset managers and several banks. we sell many reo properties. some of those lists floating around out there are dead end streets as so many bomb bard the asset managers with requests they dont even reply 1

Even if they don't catch you now, they will catch you later when you try to sell a 2.5 bath that is only a 1.5 bath and the lower bath needs to be removed and capped.
