I personally don't care for the Oregon coast but I love a few of the Rivers for Steelhead and Salmon fishing..

Anyone using the Minut noise/cigarette smoke monitor? 

I've tried it and been screwed with it more than once.Bathrooms get semigloss light blue, kitchens get this semigloss light orange/salmon color that we like, living areas get a light gray that doesn't fade easily.Over time, you see the white oil paint, anywhere it's in the dark and not exposed to sunlight , with yellow and darken.

Smells of cooking or smoking are likely to do so as well.Having said all of the above, the flats I'm familiar with have rented reasonably well at market rents.

They dislike the new tenants in front and have complained about smoking (not allowed) and loud fights.

To add the unit you will most likely need to achieve proper fire rating between shared walls/floors/ceilings and have interconnected smoke detectors.
