On a personal note, nothing makes us happier as entrepreneurs with a family-owned business than when a client moves past buying a passive portfolio and says they are going to build an active business.

I decided to jump in full-time and I'm going to rely soly on my commission income (a decision I'm very proud to make), and I would love to hear, from fellow entrepreneurs and 1099 lifers, some of the best aspects of your decision to get into this tough but rewarding field.I want to thank you in advance for your responses!

@Logan Jorns  I have learned from all the books I have read,  I really liked @Brian Murray's book Crushing it in Commercial Real Estate,  The Rich Dad books while not technical are great for mindset stuff,  I also liked Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur by James Randel.   

I have been on bigger pockets for almost a month now and it has been awesome to read and follow the stories of so many like minded entrepreneurs.

The other parts are a little more challenging for a little entrepreneur to comprehend.

As a young entrepreneur, I've noticed that people I identify as generally successful and admirable are usually 'successful' in more than just one definition of the word (e.g. not just millionaires). 

You say that you aren't much of a risk taker but you are an entrepreneur so you are more of a risk taker than you think!
