Liability & Licensing – Confirm in the written agreement that the independent contractor has liability insurance and is fully licensed by the state and any other relevant regulatory agencies.Dispute Resolution – You may choose to include a clause requiring disputes to be settled via mediation.

Having an attorney send a letter to all parties might draw some attention and a faster resolution to this issue.

Your best resolution sounds like it is to get your Mom out of the problem.

It probably goes without saying that you should not have removed any complaints before resolution of your issues.

We opened up an investigation on them through the postal service, because it is wire fraud, but we were told the chances were slim that we would see a resolution.......and they were right!

Then I discovered a clause in their standard contract labeled "Complaint Resolution."

They might pay more attention to you/offer a resolution if you continue to document your experience with them on different online venues.
