Purchasing tax sale deeds

If I buy a property at tax sale and go in to start clearing house out what can previous owner do about me removing their personal property?  Previous owner says she still lives there!!

@Diane Davis welcome to BP. What state did you buy the tax deed in? The laws from state to state vary quite a bit. If it was an Oklahoma tax deed then maybe someone with specific OK knowledge here can help.

My guess is you can't do anything until you get legal possession of the property. I suspect you will have to get an attorney involved. Even once you get legal possession of the property you may need to do a quiet title action to get clear title in order to sell the property.
