It's less "sexy" than a beachfront condo-tel, but it's a much better option in my book.Or you can be inland a bit where there is far less demand (naturally), but draws for small-town events can make up for it (Dunedin has the Highland Games - bagpipes, caber tossing, and haggis).

My parents spent their Summers and weekends there in their teens-mid to late 1940's.It is a nice small town atmosphere.

@Jeff Dimock Hi, basically both, I am investing from Israel in the long term, but I attend to be physically present for inspecting and closing the deal.my investing strategy for the moment is to buy and hold rental.I'm looking for 3/2+ single home - cute/sexy - great condition - ready to move in -good neighborhood - good schools - 15-30 minutes from everything (work, school, restaurant etc....)sorry if its sound like I want it ALL but I prefer getting less in my cash flow and having no riskthan having high cash flow and many things to worry about!

Barrier to entry is much less than traditional real estate.Affordable housing (mobile homes) is not sexy to most investors, so less competitionAffordable housing (mobile homes) is more appealing to many than apartment living because they have a sense of ownership with a mobile homeMailbox money with great ROI for little upfront capitalNo headaches of being a landlord because I'm the bank the end user is responsible for maintenance, utilities, etc.
