Just be careful if you have plaster/lath; you could open up a can of worms if you’re not careful in the demo phase.

Hire a handyman to do the demo, painting, tile, sheet rock, etc.Hire a plumber, electrician, HVAC/F, ( these need to be contractors for codes and permits).You will save at least 25-40 K.
