The best way to answer this question is to look at the square feet of the home and how many can comfortably fit in the common areas...i.e. dining room, living room, outdoor spaces, etc.

They are stunning places, and with so much money around ( especially from Other countries w/ how popular CA is )  I guess there's enough ppl willing to pay outrageous prices to deal with insane policies and other madness,  for the incredible weather/ views.

There's no need to compensate them for dining or anything else because the rest of the rental is still usable.Even if your renters are understanding and don't ask for anything, I will still consider compensating them for the inconvenience with a $100 gift card or something.

I'd feel just like Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam, looking at that pouty-pouty king in the dining room demanding, “Bring me my Hasen-pfeffer!!”

But it's always great to have a nice seating area including throw pillows, dining area, outdoor lawn games like the oversized connect four, Jenga etc., definitely string lights somewhere that makes sense, and other decorative accessories like plants.

The views were stunning, it was just my wife and I (and the photographer), we got amazing pictures, paid a fraction of the cost -- then we had a party after our honeymoon and celebrated with friends and family (much less expensive as venues didn't see this as a "wedding").
