We were already in a hot seller's market with historically low inventory before Covid but Covid brought us a wild influx of buyers from "pandemic hot spots" who are looking for that "staycation" in anticipation of the next round of shutdowns.Who'da thunk this?!!!

Destin is a tourist hotspot with heavy traffic but Fort Walton is closer to Eglin and Hurlburt while still being close to the fun and Crestview is a very practical place to live.

I think once Canby fills up (the hot spot for us right now) then people are going to be right back out to that fill out  that area by Brookwood, Meek and NE Evergreen, but right now that land doesn't quite pencil (for most businesses) vs some other close by areas, at least in the Manufacturing/Industrial/Commercial space unless you are doing 10+ acre lots.

The Salton Sea was once a hotspot in the 50s and 60s and was a wasteland by the 70s.There are lots of places in America with lower costs of living, but they don't appeal to people because there isn't a an economical reason to go there.
