Closely follow MLS listings.This knowledge will make or break you as a flipper and therefor you must put together your experienced team to insure all the market information is at your finger tips on a ongoing bases.  

It is a little expensive but it saves a boat load of time and all the info is at your fingertips.  

In the days before the internet  & instant credit checks and background info at your finger tips, a few bad apples were able to fly under the radar, not so much anymore, thank God!    

I have already requested delinquent tax rolls from several counties, and soon I will have a list of opportunities at my fingertips.

As for security, these days there are many levels of authentication in place if the product is of any worth.The beauty of cloud products I find is that your data comes with you wherever and is accessible on your device anywhere you have an internet connection - data at your fingertips while you're on the go.

A Realtor has many tools at their fingertips so long as they a members of the local listing service.
